Semantics and morphology were just some of my favorite topics in this class. This is where I got to deep dive into the nitty gritty of the English language. I liked discovering places where an English learner would find very confusing and problematic. Idioms, double entendres, and slang terms were often posted in the discussion board. I remember that every week was fun, because we had to come up with new words that the rest of the class may not have heard of. English as a language is constantly growing and evolving. I took away from this class that there really isn't a "wrong" way to speak English if you have a foreign accent.
